FAQ
Group course classes are 1h long (this turns out to be the best lenght for groups).
Classes are usually twice a week to ensure you a steady progress. 😊
It is best if you check these specifics on the page of the group in question as sometimes the frequency of classes can vary and you will see also about the days and times.
No!
You can start as you are. 🙂Isn't that great? 😜
You will only need a properly working computer and stable internet connection.
We are using the camera and different kinds of materials and resources, so you might need to have more tabs and windows open on your PC.
I will share the main book with you (in pdf) before the start of the course and during the course we'll be using also other kinds resources.
Online exercises, pictures, speaking exercises and much more.
We will also share a Google doc together where we will write all the notes from classes and it will yours to keep afterwards.🤓
That depends on the level of the group and also on you, the students. 😊
There isn't a 100% fixed structure as I always adapt the course and the single lessons to the participants, too. Everyone has a different background, native language and a bit different skills which together creates a unique group! ✨
So I work with that and don't just apply the rule "one fits all".
I believe that this is the best way to minimize pressure and create the best atmosphere for learning new things.🤓
But there is still some general structure of the classes:
At the beginning or before the start of the course we discuss each of your goals so that I can create the best middle way for everyone to get the maximum out of the course.
I always try to get my students talking as much as possible (because it is the most important skill!), so that is a very important part of each class, no matter the level.😊
We can talk on specific topics; your daily, current topics; homework videos etc., etc.
In case of a beginner group we usually start from scratch with the support of the book Česky krok za krokem (among many other materials) and slowly start getting familiar with Czech.
In case of a more advanced group we also focus on, strenghten and work on some grammar topics together.💪🏻🗣️
And then maybe most importantly, we are not forgetting to have fun and to enjoy the process!😊
If you click on "learn more" under the group course in question, you will see more information and there is normally described what should be your level.
If you are still unsure, it is also always possible to book a short free call together, where we can get to know each other a bit and see about your level! 🙂
You can book it by clicking the button below.
First one, and quite obvious - the price. 🙂This is the most budget friendly option!
Community - everything goes better when you don't feel alone!
Support from the others (and me - this one is always included 😉)
Better practice "for the real world"!
We talk in our courses, and it might be quite scary (or even terifying 🥲) for some people to speak in front of others.
But trust me that overcoming this fear will feel so good and will make you practice actually much better for real life situations than individual classes (where it can be quite easy to slip into the "coziness" of speaking with just one person over and over).
Learning from each other('s mistakes). (I don't like to call it mistakes :))
Regular schedule helps you stay consistent and disciplined, which is very important especially when starting to learn a new language! 💪🏻
Lessons take place on Zoom.
You will receive a link to be used for all the lessons.
We will be using a shared Google doc every class (I will create it and add you all). It's best if you then save the tab and open it before each class. 🙂
Out of classes we will communicate in our private Whatsapp group.
You will also need a pdf reader for the book and other possible materials.
You will also be informed about all this after signing up, short before the start of the course. 😊
